Your recordings stay on your computer

Zoomy records, edits and exports on your machine. Your videos, audio, projects and library are stored locally and are never uploaded unless you choose to.

Uploading is always optional. If you use “Save to Zoomy cloud”, the exported video is stored in a private bucket tied to your account. Only you can see it, until you make it public to share a link. You can delete it at any time from My videos, which removes the file.

Your account

An account stores your email address, a hashed password (we never keep the password itself) and the videos you chose to save. Sign-in links are sent by email and work once. Comments on a public video are visible to anyone who has the link.

What the app sends

When you link or check a Zoomy Pro license, our server sends the license key to Lemon Squeezy to verify it, and the app tells our server your computer’s name so Pro runs on one computer at a time. Nothing else is sent. The app does not include analytics or trackers.

This website

The website sets no cookies and has no analytics. It remembers your light or dark theme in your browser's local storage, and that value never leaves your device. The installers are hosted on GitHub, which sees the usual information about a download.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record. We do not see or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy shares with us what we need to deliver your license, such as your email address.
